|
The casting machine TITEC® by OROTIG works completely automatically, controlling the fundamental parameters that are required for a perfect cast. The internal logic determines: the regulation of the vacuum, the saturation level and the over-pressure of the argon, the period over which the current is supplied to the arc, and the moment at which the chamber is inverted. The melted metal is only poured into the mould if all the conditions are perfect: this way one creates the necessary basis for obtaining constant results. |

This new single chamber configuration allows to melt the titanium in close vicinity of the casting cylinder, which results in very short transfer times of the melted titanium from the copper crucible to the mould. The mass of liquid metal is kept hotter and more compact this way, and it allows for much faster casting times. These characteristics lead to a very accurate reproduction of the details of the model and it simplifies the techniques that are used by the technician. With the same single chamber configuration it is possible to cast chrome-cobalt as well, by substituting only the crucible. |
