Special Furnace for homogeneous baking of refractory casting cylinders

Thanks to the innovative rotation system, the revolutionary furnace Galileoduemila allows to bake up to five cylinders at the same time in a very homogeneous way. This is achieved by exposing all the surfaces of the cylinders in a gradual and homogenous way to the heating elements.
The use of a sophisticated temperature control system allows to regulate the current through the individual heating elements, which are placed from the bottom up to the highest part of the muffle.

This heating system, together with the cylindrical shape of the chamber and the rotation of the discs that support the cylinders, guarantees a homogeneous heat transfer.

Innovative characteristics:

  • System of rotating support discs, one for every cylinder. A continuous and variable rotation of the individual discs results in a homogeneous exposure of all the surfaces to the heating elements.

  • A sophisticated control system monitors the temperature at various positions inside the furnace, and the electronics regulate the current through the heating elements in such a way as to compensate any temperature differences and to control the temporal evolution of the overall temperature.

  • The cylindrical shape of the chamber allows for radial heating
