TITANIUM: PERFECTLY
COMPATIBLE WITH BIOLOGICAL MATERIAL |
 |
|
Titanium was discovered
already in 1791, but only in the last decades has been used in industrial
applications. Its use in medicine has become quite broad due to its excellent
compatibility with biological material. Since some time, titanium is being used
for artificial joints, plates for blocking fractures, cover material for implant
devices, and implants for dentistry applications.
Recent technological
developments have allowed an even broader use of titanium. Today the realization
of complete dental prosthesis in titanium has become a concrete and accessible
possibility for everyone.

OROTIG -
LEADER IN TITANIUM TECHNOLOGY |
 |
|
Until a few years ago, the
excellent properties of titanium were not fully utilized to create complete
dental structures, since its high reactivity made it impossible to realize such
dentistry applications in titanium.
The start of OROTIG
Srl has represented a revolution in this respect. The Italian company has
realized an innovative system which covers the complete spectrum of titanium
technology: titanium casting, titanium welding, and the realization of
prosthesis in titanium. This innovative system yields high quality results that
were not obtained before.
bioWith this system, defined TITEC®
by OROTIG, the dental technician has at its disposal the most sophisticated
machinery that exists on the world market, consumables, accessories, and
laboratory equipment of excellent quality.

TITANIUM PROTHESIS: THE
CLOSEST TO NATURE |
|
 |
 |
|
Being anti-corrosive and
resistant to stress, light, anallergic, without taste, non thermal conducting,
and completely non-toxic, titanium has all the properties of natural teeth and
allows to create a prosthesis which is absolutely compatible with biological
material. A tooth in titanium has no taste, is not sensitive to hot or cold (it
has a thermal conductivity which is 14 times smaller than that of gold), it is
very light (4 times lighter than gold), and has optimal elastic properties and
robustness, and resistance to chewing. In addition, a prosthesis in titanium is
transparent to x-rays, and that means an important advantage for future
treatments.

IMPORTANT ADVANTAGES FOR
THOSE WHO CHOOSE
TO WORK WITH TITANIUM |
 |
|
Titanium is available in
large quantities and has a price which is very reasonable (about 50 times less
than gold). A choice today to work with titanium means that one can offer a
product of high quality, safe, and of almost eternal lifetime. Titanium is the
forth metal on earth and does not exhibit high extraction costs. A large
increment in the use of titanium is expected in dentistry in the near future.
Getting equipped with
machinery and technology TITEC® by OROTIG today, means preparing oneself
for the near future. A prosthesis in titanium represents a product of high
quality, technologically advanced, safe, long lasting, and very competitively
priced. Realizing custom made crowns, complex bridges, and structures which have
been completely passivated with respect to the implants in titanium, the dental
technician guarantees the dentist that the repair and reconstruction of teeth
occurs in a biocompatible, resistant, and esthetically perfect way without
creating electrical potential differences. |
